Please review the official rules and guidelines for alrIEEEna'26 participation.

Eligibility
- The competition is open to undergraduate students from recognized colleges/institutes.
- Participants may register individually or as a team of maximum 2 members.
- Each participant may register only once. Multiple registrations may lead to disqualification.

Registration
- Registration must be completed using the official registration form/website only.
- The Team Leader’s email ID will be treated as the primary communication channel.
- All announcements, instructions, and result notifications will be sent only via this email.
- Providing incorrect or fake details may result in immediate disqualification.

Competition Structure
- Round 1: Online Machine Learning challenge.
- Round 2 (Final Round): Offline/Final evaluation for shortlisted teams.
- Only shortlisted teams from Round 1 will be eligible for Round 2.
- Registration Fee: Shortlisted teams must pay a fee of ₹200 to participate in the offline showdown.
The organizing committee reserves the right to modify the problem statement, dataset, evaluation metric, or timeline if required.

Submission Rules
Participants must ensure:
- Submissions are their original work.
- Public GitHub repositories, Kaggle notebooks, or pre-existing solutions must NOT be copied.
- Pre-trained models are allowed only if explicitly permitted in the problem statement.
- Sharing solutions, datasets, or answers with other participants is strictly prohibited.
Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Plagiarism Policy
The following will be treated as malpractice:
- Copying code from another participant/team.
- Using solutions available online without proper implementation.
- Submitting identical or highly similar notebooks.
- Collaboration between teams during the competition.
Submissions will be checked using plagiarism detection and manual review.
⚠️ If plagiarism is detected:
- Immediate disqualification.
- Ban from future IEEE-SB GEHU events.
The decision of the organizing committee will be final and binding.

Evaluation
- Submissions will be evaluated based on the official metric mentioned in the problem statement.
- The leaderboard score may not be the final deciding factor.
- Code quality, reproducibility, and explanation may also be considered.
- In case of a tie, additional evaluation criteria or interview may be conducted.
The organizers’ decision will be final and cannot be challenged.

Use of Resources
Allowed
- Use personal laptops
- Use Python libraries and frameworks
- Refer to documentation
NOT Allowed
- Seek real-time external help
- Crowdsource solutions
- Use AI tools to auto-generate complete solutions

Internet & Technical Issues
- Participants are responsible for their own internet connectivity and system setup.
- No re-attempts or time extensions will be granted due to:
- Internet failure
- Power failure
- System crash
- Software installation issues

Code & Intellectual Property
- Participants retain ownership of their code.
- However, by participating, they grant IEEE Student Branch GEHU permission to:
- Review
- Evaluate
- Showcase winning solutions for academic and promotional purposes.

Disqualification
The organizers may disqualify any participant/team for:
- Violation of rules
- Misconduct
- Unfair practices
- Misbehavior with organizers or volunteers

Prizes & Certificates
- Certificates will be issued only to eligible participants who follow all rules.
- Prizes are non-transferable and non-negotiable.
- Organizers reserve the right to withhold prizes in case of rule violations.

Organizer Rights
The organizing committee reserves the right to:
- Modify schedule
- Update rules
- Cancel or postpone the event if required due to unforeseen circumstances.
